Ministries: Worship & Prayer: Lay Eucharistic Visitors (LEVs)

They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. [Acts 2:42]

Our ministry to the ill and shut-ins of the parish is possible because so many dedicated laypersons feel called on to visit those who are unable to come to church regularly. LEVs bring news of the parish activities, sometimes the Sunday bulletin, as well as sharing Holy Communion. This may be done in a hospital, a rehab facility, nursing home or someone’s own home. This lay ministry is our loving way to keep in touch with persons who would otherwise not have the opportunity to share Holy Communion regularly.

If you know of someone who is ill, hospitalized or completely homebound and would like to have communion, please call the office. If you would like to train to become a Lay Eucharistic Visitor, we would be happy to train you and add you to our active visitor list.
