Our buildings are closed, but we continue to BE the church!!

St. Christopher's Regathering Plan:

  • Our Calling Ministry will continue to notify each church family weekly to share church news and updates.

  • The office will continue to function remotely to check email and voicemail.

  • Finance activities will continue remotely. Automatic giving continues -- we can be make it available for those not already using it. We deposit checks and paying bills.

  • An intermittent physical presence will be maintained on the campus daily, but only for short periods each day and with only one or two people at a time.

  • We will rely on the mail slot in the side door of the chapel, for delivery of regular US Mail, which will be checked daily, and for anything parishioners need to drop off that they would normally deliver to the office.

  • "Virtual" Vestry Meetings will continue

Earlier documents:

  • 3/17/20 - The Rt. Rev. Jennifer A. Reddall issued a directive that all Episcopal Churches in the diocese would suspend services and gatherings through April 20.

  • 3/17/20 - Fr. Peter sent a pastoral letter to notify that St. Christopher's had decided on 3/16/20 to suspend all in-person church gatherings at least through the end of March.

  • 3/6/20 - The Rt. Rev. Jennifer A. Reddall released a statement offering guidance to clergy and congregations within the Diocese of Arizona about practices around Communion. She closed with a message for our clergy that while "we love our congregations and we often sacrifice our own health in service to God and the church. This is not a time to do so."
