I was hungry and you gave me food:

Men’s Club sandwich ministry now makes 24 sandwiches a week for the Salvation Army for homeless in Surprise.

Over the years, the Men’s Club sandwich ministry has evolved from initially organizing and making 160 - 200 brown bag lunches monthly. Men, tweens, ECW, and others filled the bags on Sunday between services with a sandwich, water bottle, fruit and treat. The men make sure we deliver the bags with St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Glendale. St. Andrew’s cooked and brought a hot meal. Together this provided both a hot meal and a brown bag lunch for homeless individuals and families at the United Methodist Outreach Ministries (UMOM) shelter.

After changes at the UMOM shelter, the sack lunches didn't work for them.

Over 2,000 lunches have been provided so far! Funds to support this minstry come from the Diocesan Mission Share Rebate funds St. Christopher's recieves, individual contributions, free will offerins at the annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper, the 2016 Cello & Piano Recital, and $20 each week form the Bookstore.
